Su objetivo es garantizar la respuesta oportuna a las v\u00edctimas de enfermedad, accidentes de tr\u00e1nsito, traumatismo o paro cardiorrespiratorio que requieran atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica de urgencias, tanto en lugares p\u00fablicos como privados. Este sistema comprende mecanismos para notificar emergencias m\u00e9dicas, la actuaci\u00f3n del primer respondiente, la gesti\u00f3n de solicitudes por parte de los centros reguladores de urgencias y emergencias, servicios prehospitalarios, transporte b\u00e1sico y medicalizado, atenci\u00f3n hospitalaria, programas educativos y procesos de vigilancia. En resumen, el SEM tiene como premisa \u201cllevar al paciente indicado, al hospital adecuado en el momento oportuno,\u201d lo que contribuye a reducir la mortalidad y discapacidad relacionadas con Adem\u00e1s, cerillas, vitrocer\u00e1micas y aceite caliente tambi\u00e9n representan peligros.<\/li><li><strong>Cortes<\/strong>: Manipular tijeras o cuchillos al preparar alimentos puede causar lesiones. Tambi\u00e9n debemos estar atentos a peque\u00f1os cristales rotos en el suelo o bordes afilados en objetos met\u00e1licos.<\/li><li><strong>Ca\u00eddas<\/strong>: Las ca\u00eddas son la principal causa de mortalidad en personas mayores de 65 a\u00f1os. Suelen ocurrir al subir o bajar escaleras, al intentar subirse a una silla o al resbalar en superficies mojadas, como el ba\u00f1o.<\/li><li><strong>Intoxicaciones<\/strong>: Las intoxicaciones alimentarias son m\u00e1s comunes de lo que imaginamos. Comer alimentos pasada su fecha de caducidad o una mala refrigeraci\u00f3n puede ser peligroso.<\/li><li><strong>Descargas el\u00e9ctricas<\/strong>: Manipular aparatos el\u00e9ctricos sin precauci\u00f3n puede causar descargas. Esto puede provocar dificultad para respirar, asfixia y, en casos graves, incluso la muerte. Existen dos tipos de obstrucci\u00f3n:<\/p><ol><li><p><strong>Obstrucci\u00f3n Moderada:<\/strong>\u00a0En esta situaci\u00f3n, el paciente puede toser y expulsar el objeto por s\u00ed mismo. Se le anima a toser repetidamente hasta que lo logre.<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Obstrucci\u00f3n Grave:<\/strong>\u00a0En este caso, el paciente no puede respirar ni toser.
